I am delighted to be speaking at this Conference on the topic, “A Teacher’s Voice Is Discerning: Confidence Without Oversimplification”. This session explores how teachers can speak with clarity, certainty and confidence while still honouring the moral and theological complexity of real life. It addresses the danger of reducing faith to simple answers and calls for a mature teaching voice. What should we be certain about, what should we be open about? When is certainty necessary and when not? How to discern well?

Please plan to attend in person or online, and pass it on to anybody you feel might be interested.

Please add your comments on this week’s topic. We learn best when we learn in community. Do you have a question about teaching the Bible? Is it theological, technical, practical? Send me your questions or suggestions. Here’s the email: [malcolm@malcolmcox.org](mailto:malcolm@malcolmcox.org).
